Personality:

"Yes, ho+w dreadful it wo+uld be fo+r yo+ur sixty nine millio+n wo+rd essay to+ get bo+gged do+wn by even the faintest reference to+ the ro+les o+f gender in Befo+ran and Alternian civilizatio+n."

By Beforan standards, Porrim is a rebel in more ways than one. Fundamentally, she has bucked the role placed upon her by Beforan society, an act which scandalous in and of itself. As a jade-blood, she was expected to work in the subterranean caverns of her planet to take care of her species' young, ensuring their safety until they were old enough to live on their own. However, as she matured, Porrim decided that such a role was sexist and demeaning. As her caste was primarily composed of females, she saw it as something a patriarchal society forced on her simply for being female, and shunned it. This marked her as rebellious from the beginning, but it was only the beginning of the many ways she finds to stick it to the man on the daily. Later on, Porrim became more interested in the role assigned to her at birth, and found ways to carry it out without being unfaithful to her own beliefs. She is invested in social justice, but finds it annoying that issues involving gender are often pushed aside for what she views as more trivial injustices, and she isn't afraid to kick ass and take names if that's what it takes to make a real change--even if Beforan society has ceased to be in its entirety.

"We'll get yo+u all caught up o+n exactly who+'s been seen passing thro+ugh the well greased revo+lving do+o+rs to+ my quadrants."

A fierce feminist, Porrim loves nothing more than to argue about how Beforus's "matriarchy" is actually a patriarchy masquerading as the former, or to explain why gender roles are so harmful to both males and females. Besides a healthy interest in feminism and gender, she is also incredibly sex-positive and quick to argue that sex is a natural, healthy thing and that slut-shaming is harmful and problematic. As such, she is known to have a healthy sex life, preferring to have multiple short flings to longer, deeper romantic relationships. She has no problem with her own promiscuity, though that doesn't mean she isn't interested in meaningful attachments. Porrim also has a rather wry sense of humor about the state of her romantic affairs, poking fun at herself and her many flings.

"Wo+rd travels fast here. Plenty o+f go+ssip. No+ o+ne quite prepares yo+u fo+r the fact that o+n the o+ther side o+f death is an infinite echo+ chamber o+f teen drama."

Besides her more serious interests, Porrim has several other hobbies and interests. Gossip is chief among them, and she is considered an excellent source amongst her friends for juicy tidbits. Although it's inherently a harmful hobby, she enjoys indulging in it, if only because it lessens the boredom of an eternal teenage existence. Besides gossip, Porrim is a skilled seamstress and enjoys making clothing. She makes her own clothing herself, often indulging in fancy costumes just for the hell of it, but she has also been known to make articles of clothing for her friends--namely, Kankri's red sweater (because his awful high-waisted pants were just so+ unfashio+nable). She also has a major interest in body modifications, and has many piercings in places both visible and hidden, as well as extensive tattoos in a black swirl design.

"But if yo+u need so+meo+ne to+ eerily pho+spho+resce in the demo+n's vicinity, while debating whether to+ try drinking his blo+o+d, then I'd like to+ think I easily crack the to+p 10+ candidates yo+u might co+nsider fo+r the jo+b."

Porrim's rather wry sense of humor also extends to her status as a Rainbow Drinker. She doesn't take this too seriously since her death in Meenah's Sgrub session, viewing her powers as largely useless, especially without God Tier abilities. Porrim is also incredibly motherly at times, especially toward Kankri, fussing over him and giving him nicknames. Although much of this may be an attempt to redirect a pale crush, she also tends to feel responsible for him and feels the need to protect him--and to protect their friends from his long-winded sermons. Even though she does care for him, it's easy for her to grow irritated with his dismissal of her so-called "pet issues," and their conversations often end in frustration and petty insult.

Abilities/Weaknesses: Porrim is a Rainbow Drinker. Basically, this is the troll version of a vampire. As such, she feeds primarily on blood, though she is capable of ingesting other foods. She also, interestingly enough, has the ability to bioluminesce. When she does this, her skin turns a glowing, pearly white, and her eyes a bright yellow. She can turn this "mode" on and off at will, though when she is aroused, excited, or otherwise emotionally vulnerable, it has a tendency to happen on its own. She also has eyesight, hearing, and a sense of smell that is better than the average human/troll, though it is not by any means superhuman--a modest boost in ability. Also, unlike other trolls, Porrim was able to withstand the harsh Beforan sunlight even before gaining her drinker abilities, which comes from her blood caste.

As for weaknesses, she does rely on others to feed, which means it's easy to get her in a weakened state simply by denying her food.

prose:

It'd been a very long time since she'd been properly hungry.

At first, it was but a minor annoyance, a twinging in her stomach like some long-forgotten memory. But the feeling grew gradually stronger, and finally Porrim realized what it was: hunger, such as she hadn't experienced in eons.

One of the downsides to being a Rainbow Drinker was the diet: blood, namely, and that was about the only thing that would satiate her hunger properly. Rather annoying, if you asked Porrim; she'd much rather snack on whatever baked goods happened to be lying around, but a girl had to do what a girl had to do (preferably while dismantling the patriarchy, but one thing at a time).

Approaching someone for a feeding was less effortless for her than approaching someone for sex, but the latter gave her a brilliant idea: why not seek out someone with a vampire fetish? With an elegant hand, Porrim wrote out an advertisement completely with flowery handwriting and curly flourishes.

"Wanted," she murmured to herself as she pinned the ad to a public notice board in the village, chuckling quietly to herself. "An easy meal."

Too easy? Perhaps, but that was a risk she was willing to take. After all, she wasn't going to waste a second chance at life.
